A series of short films created with my brother Jack, which you can watch on Instagram. What started as short experiments in comedy has turned into exercises in genre filmmaking where our limited resources rarely restrict our ambitions, and give us a freedom we wouldn’t have if more money were on the line. And even though our audience is watching on the smallest screen, we always strive to be cinematic. (If it was shot in scope, you’re not going to watch it vertically - turn your damn phone!)

Jack writes every film and plays the lead role as a variety of characters, while I work behind the scenes as a cinematographer, editor, VFX artist, sound designer, prop master, or whatever role we happen to need most. These projects have been great opportunities to look ridiculous and take risks without fear, play with stylistic and genre influences from our favorite films, and keep our creative lives fresh.

Here are a couple of my favorites, which involved a combination of far-flung location work, stop-motion animation and miniatures, and the will to hike two miles in the snow while carrying thirty pounds of chainmail.
